Introductory Program Port Moresby
Dear Colleague,
We are delighted to invite you to attend Gilt Investments’ Introductory Course in Fixed Income in Port Moresby.
This five‐day professional training program is open to participants across all Pacific Island nations, including Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati, and others.
Whether you are an investor, banker, financial adviser, accountant, or portfolio professional, this course will build your confidence and capability in one of the most important asset classes in global finance.
For too long, fixed income has been under‐represented in professional education. Equities and property dominate the conversation, yet bonds and debt markets are the foundation of modern economies. This course bridges that gap by focusing on practical, hands‐on learning that equips participants with tools they can apply immediately in their professional roles.
Course Overview
The Introductory Course provides a comprehensive foundation in fixed income markets, instruments, pricing, and risk. Over five days, you will develop a clear understanding of key concepts such as yield, duration, convexity, and the mechanics of bond valuation using Excel‐based exercises and real‐world examples.
Delivered by Richard Brennan and Alastair Healey, both with decades of applied experience in Australian and international fixed income markets, the course combines theory and practice in a clear, engaging, and highly relevant format. Previous participants across the Pacific have consistently praised its clarity, practicality, and immediate relevance to their work.
